kochi pather jhol - Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor - Kolkata

DESCRIPTION:Kochi Pathar Jhol - Delectable tender, young mutton pieces, cooked in a simple, mildly spiced broth or thin gravy along with a potato. A dish where one will get the smell of mutton rather than of accompanying spices! The style of preparation is what one finds in a typical Bengali kitchen on a Sunday afternoon.Pair with roti, roomali roti, paratha for a wonderful meal. But preferably, with poori, or Bengali luchi. There’s something satisfactorily sinful about tearing a piece of steaming, puffed up luchi and dipping it in the thin, aromatic gravy, almost rendering the mutton secondary! Almost!
